Dr. Jesús Sánchez Pérez Publishes Study on Wearable Sensing for Monitoring Acute Asthma in Children

The last paper of Dr. Jesús Sáncez Pérez PhD thesis was accepted for publication at the Journal of Medical Internet Research mHealth and uHealth (IF 6.2). The paper was in collaboration with clinicians from the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The work presents the first demonstration of wearable-based sensing for quantifying the physiologic manifestations of a life-threatening asthma attack from peak to resolution of symptoms, thereby motivating further research aimed at personalizing care and improving patient outcomes.
