Recent Advances in Atmospheric Physics: Insights from Dr. Héctor Jiménez’s Seminar

Dr. Héctor Jiménez gave a talk to the “Círculo Astrofísico de Puerto Rico” on 3 May 2024, entitled “Estudio de óptica termodinámica en la troposfera terrestre” at UPR Río Piedras. This was the sixth and last seminar of the semester.

During the presentation, recent efforts and results related to group work on atmospheric physics topics were discussed. These included atmospheric absorption processes in bands of interest for radio astronomy, the study of multiple thermodynamic variables in the first 10 km of the troposphere, and the investigation of the high turbulence region in the boundary layer between the troposphere and the surface.
